This is use only to users who do not have a BeBox floppy who want to create one. Remember, this is to upgrade your BeBox BootROM to the most current version! I repeat: THIS IS NOT AN UPDATE! Installation: Place the new 1.44MB floppy disk into your floppy drive. Now, follow the following steps, depending on the OS you are using to create your new bootROM floppy. 1. BeOS In the Terminal app, cd into the directory that contains the bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img.zip file. After unzipping the image, type: dd if=bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img of=/dev/disk/floppy/raw 2. Linux In the commandline, cd into the directory that contains the bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img.zip file. After unzipping the image, type: dd if=bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img of=/dev/fd0 3. Windows PLEASE BE SURE THAT YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED THE bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img.zip FILE IN BINARY! Go to and download rawrite.exe into the same directory as bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img.zip. Once downloaded, open a MS-DOS prompt, cd into the directory that contains both bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img.zip and rawrite.exe. After unzipping the image, type: rawrite When asked for the source file name, type: bebox_bootrom_r3.2.img When asked for the destination drive, type: a: (or whatever drive name you have your floppy configured as) As soon as the floppy drive is finished writing, you are ready to use your new BeOS for BeBox BootROM Floppy! =====================
